Does the type of restaurant really change which POS I need?
It changes what matters. A food truck needs offline mode and one reliable terminal. A full service dining room needs coursing, tab handling and tip pooling. A brewery needs to sell pints and packaged cans to go, which are frequently taxed differently. The hardware overlaps, the configuration does not.
What if my restaurant is more than one of these?
Most are. A brewery with a kitchen and a food truck is three of these at once. Tell us on the first call and we will configure for the combination. Nobody gets forced into one category. The mixed cases are usually where a badly configured system hurts most.
Do you charge more for a more complicated setup?
The quote reflects what we build, and a room with a bar, a kitchen display and handhelds is more work than a single counter terminal. What does not change is that we do the programming. You do not get handed a login and a help article.
