Why does the city matter for a POS?
Because the combined rate on prepared food and the rate on mixed drinks are both set locally, and they are not derivable from each other. Little Rock food is 10.625% and mixed drinks are 32.625%. Fayetteville food is 11.75% and a cocktail is 16.75% while a beer stays at 11.75%.
Permit type matters too. In dry counties restaurants serving alcohol generally operate under private club permits, which carry their own tax treatment and their own record keeping.
A menu programmed against a generic Arkansas rate will be wrong in most cities. Ours are programmed against yours.
